Acuris 2019 - 2022
Defining and delivering a Data and content management suite

Leading a persona workshop in New York
Challenge
Acuris (formerly Mergermarket Group) is a global financial media and data intelligence company with over 22 customer-facing products across six verticals.
Acuris’ internal product ecosystem had grown organically, resulting in fragmented workflows, inconsistent design practices, and siloed development processes.
The organization needed to unify its design approach, improve collaboration across regions, and modernize its tools for the era of automation and AI.

My Role
As an independent Design Leadership Consultant, I was hired to embed human-centered design into the product delivery lifecycle, unify internal tool design, and scale design operations. I partnered with C-suite and product leaders to evolve fragmented teams into a global, collaborative product delivery culture.

Key Goals:
• Integrate user-centered and data-informed design methods into Acuris’ product development process.
• Lead design from discovery to delivery across multiple AI-adjacent SaaS tools.
• Mentor and expand the in-house product design team, establishing scalable design systems and principles.

Ecosystem & Design Transformation
Partnering with global product and engineering leaders, I introduced a unified discovery framework that aligned six verticals under one process. This embedded qualitative research, rapid prototyping, and cross-squad design critiques into every release cycle. The initiative shifted the organization from feature delivery toward evidence-based design and user-value outcomes.
