My Role:
I joined Yahoo! at a time when the UK London office was emerging as a central product development hub tasked with innovating and developing new products.

Responsbilities:

The focus of my role at was on leadership, creativity and innovation. I led a team of dedicated Information Architects, Visual Designers, Interaction Designers and Web Developers to devise comprehensive, compelling and intuitive user experience solutions to increasingly complex user experience challenges.

In my time here I led the product design process from concept to prototype, and single-handedly delivered the information architecture for a new online social network. We also designed and launched several new web products and iterations including Yahoo! Answers, Local, Maps, Finance, Eurosport, Shopping and Travel

As the company went through a period of change my role altered from one of overseeing strategy and product development to one of management and I oversaw the implementation and localisation of global products into the Eu market.

 

Team:

I managed a team of UX  researchers, UX & visual designers, staff and contract, working with teams in the US and APac. I reported directly to the VP of EMEA
